About

I am a millennial adopted from South Korea who in high school had no plan to go to college, ended up with a master’s degree, accrued a ton of debt ($100k+), and then paid off his portion of the $1.5 trillion nation’s school debt. I am a lover of video games, photography, leadership development, beer, whiskey, and pour over coffee. I’m using this blog as a form of therapy and sharing what I’m learning from money to motivation.

    1. Hey Eric! I’m a writer for the personal finance website NerdWallet and I’m working on an article about creative ways people have paid down their student loan debt. I’d love to chat about your student loan payoff plan. Is there an email address I can best reach you at? You can contact me at bmcgurran [at] nerdwallet [dot] com. Thanks!

I’d love to chat about your experience, and I’m hoping sharing stories like yours will help get the word out to other grads that they can take control of their debt, too. 1. Hi Eric- Hope your weekend was great. I am working on a new solution that would help our country lower it’s debt (Credit cards and Student loans) We are early stage but would like to get your thoughts on what we are building before we start coding the app. Please let me know if you’re open to helping. Thanks!
